Saxon Hall's first 'Masonic Charity Quiz Night'
is a great success
Saxon Hall held its inaugural annual Masonic Charity Quiz night on Friday 8th March.
The evening was organised by Saxon Hall’s Assistant Manager, Phil Allman who is well skilled and experienced in planning and overseeing large entertainment events.
With 131 eager participants making up 15 teams, the prospect of a good evening was on the cards.
A packed Jubilee suite with budding quiz teams
The quiz run by a professional quiz master delivered a fun packed eclectic selection of questions that enabled young – and not so young – to demonstrate their prowess across a broad spectrum of subjects.
There was a timely break for a table finger buffet that was all included in the £12 per head entry fee.
Phil also facilitated a table drinks service that enabled teams to maintain maximum focus - most of the time - and not a dry glass in the house.
The winning team 'No, I am Smarticus' each received a small trophy and a Lindt chocolate bunny and their team will be added to an Annual Winners Shield.

A bumper £300 was raised for the chosen charity being the ‘Southend & Essex Masonic Welfare Trust‘ https://essexfreemasons.org.uk/about/clubs/semwt which recently celebrated its 50 years.
Through donations it supports Freemasons and their families in the Province of Essex by providing equipment to aid the recovery of those suffering from illness or recuperating from surgery; they currently have on loan some 500 wheelchairs.

The evening was a great success and all credit to Phil and his team and of course a massive thank you to all those that took part.
